In response to overwhelming public interest, the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has announced the extension of the registration and booking deadline for its two flagship housing schemes—Sabka Ghar Awaas Yojana 2025 and Shramik Awas Yojana 2025. The new deadline has been set for April 30, 2025 (midnight), giving homebuyers additional time to avail themselves of discounted housing units across various categories.
The DDA stated on Tuesday that the remaining unsold flats under both schemes will be available for booking starting from April 9, 2025. The authority took this decision after witnessing massive public response and a surge in applications for both affordable and mid-income housing units.
These housing schemes offer a diverse inventory of flats across Economically Weaker Section (EWS), Low-Income Group (LIG), Middle-Income Group (MIG), and High-Income Group (HIG) categories. In an effort to encourage broader participation, DDA has introduced special discounts under both schemes, making homes more accessible to all sections of society.
Attractive Discounts Offered
- A 25% special discount is being offered on EWS, LIG, MIG, and HIG flats located in Narela.
- LIG flats in Siraspur and Loknayakpuram are also available under the 25% discount scheme.
- Additionally, a 20% special discount is applicable to MIG flats in Loknayakpuram for individuals belonging to disadvantaged groups.
The initiative aims to fulfil the housing aspirations of Delhi residents, especially those from lower and middle-income backgrounds. The extended window provides eligible applicants a golden opportunity to secure flats under government-supported schemes at subsidized prices.
The DDA has encouraged interested citizens to visit its official housing portal to check availability, apply online, and make bookings before the final deadline.
With Sabka Ghar Awaas Yojana extension, the DDA is expected to see a rise in applications and successful bookings, especially in the fast-developing zones like Narela and Loknayakpuram, which are rapidly becoming key residential hotspots in Delhi.
